The Poudre Pub Talks feature educational speakers at BreWater partners throughout Fort Collins. The Poudre Pub Talks will lead up to the Poudre Pour on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from Noon to 4:00pm. The Poudre Pour will feature craft beer and natural soda tastings and appetizers; education stations and lectures; kids activities; live entertainment; an art exhibition and a silent auction.
For the January 6th Pub Talk at Intersect Brewing, Tershia d’Elgin, the author of the “Man Who Thought He Owned Water“, will be doing a book-signing and public reading. The book chronicles the histories and struggles of Benjamin Eaton’s descendants as d’Elgins city-bred family decamps to a farm on the South Platte River. The farm’s location, deeded water rights, and Rocky Mountain snowmelt made d’Elgin’s father a man who though he owned water. Like most people, he trusted that weather, rivers, and elected officials would continue to proved the wet stuff we take for granted.
